Selling Your Cell Phone Made Easier

The time may have come where you have decided to sell your used cell phone to a buyer such as myself or any of the various cell phone wholesalers. I am going to provide some tips help make sure you get your money quicker and easier.

First and foremost if you are on a CDMA network such as: Sprint, Verizon, Alltel, US Cellular, etc, make sure that your account is clear. Meaning you have no balance. Also, have them provide in writing that they have released your phone from your account. Sometimes, you may not owe any money but your account may still be attached to the phone and the person you are selling it to will have problems reactivating it. (ahem, Sprint, ahem excuse m..)

If you were on a GSM network such as AT&T or T-Mobile, you will not have to worry about this since your account info will be stored on your sim card and not the phone.

Next get together any accessories, boxes, manuals, etc that you have for that phone. This will aid in helping you get more money for your phone.

Lastly, unless you are selling to a person who is going to use it for themselves, you can not expect top dollar. When people come to my store to sell me phones it amazes me the number of people think that just because they paid $200 for their phone 2 years ago, I should give them $170 today. Myself and others like me are in it to make a profit and provide cash to you.

So hopefully this article will aid you in the future when you upgrade to that new Iphone 3g Unlocked or top of the line cell phones for sale cheap and need to get rid of that used cell phone you no longer need. If you have any questions, just leave them in the comments section and I will answer them.
