Cell Phone Reverse Directory
You get a call on your cell but don’t recognize the number. So you don’t answer it hoping the person leaves a voicemail. When they don’t leave a message, you’re left wondering who just called you. Was it a sales call? Was it a wrong number? Or could it have been from someone you know? What a dilemma. Now you’re left scratching your head with that deer in headlights look on your face trying to figure out just who the heck called you. Argh!!
Not to worry cause you’ve got a few little tricks up your sleeve. You can call the number, but what if it’s a sales call or wrong number? You can wait until they call again, but who knows when that’s gonna happen. Or, you can find out who that caller is by using a reverse cell phone directory. Reverse cell phone directories allow you to look up information based not on the caller’s information but based on their phone number. Aha!! Now you can find out who that person is without having to make an actual phone call and costing precious cell phone minutes. You can even look up that caller’s address, depending on the reverse cell phone directory you use. Plus, reverse cell phone directories are available in the web or may be available through your cell phone provider. Reverse phone directories can also be used to look up residential or business numbers, unlisted numbers or pay phones, depending on the directory you use. How’s that for icing on your sweet, yummy cake? And if it turns out to be someone you know, well you can now happily call them back and scold them for not leaving a message.
You also have a variety of cell phone reverse directory options to choose from. Some reverse phone directories listed on the web are free while others you pay for. The choice, of course, is yours. However as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Free reverse directories give you instant information at no cost but some of the information may be wrong. The last name may be accurate but not the first name or the address may be outdated. Thats something to consider when doing a reverse lookup for cell phones number. If all you need to know is the caller’s name then you’re good to go. However if you’re looking for more details, it pays to shell out some dollars, no pun intended.
Apple Iphone into Recovery Mode
I have a quick tip today on how to put your Apple Iphone into recovery mode. I see this question rather frequently in various cell phone forums I hang out in so thought I would post a quickie tip right here. To put your Iphone into recovery mode is real simple.
1. First you make sure your Iphone is powered all the way off.
2. You hold down the home/ menu button and at the same time connect your iphone to your computer. Your Itunes will then say that it has found an Iphone in recovery mode and bam you're done.
Now for those who don't know why this information is helpful, there is a lot of software and downloads available for your Apple Iphone. Unfortunately, like all software, not all of it is good. And if you get caught with some bad Iphone software you will have to do a system restore. In the mean time your cell phone may have been crippled or disabled some kind of way and you will need to put it into recovery mode in order to do a factory restore.
So that is how you put your apple iphone into recover mode, I hope you found it useful.
By the way you can find some Apple Iphones for sale here as well as Iphone 3G Cases, if you have not yet gotten this fantastic phone.

Buying a Used Cell Phone | What to Look For
So you decided that you want or need to replace your cell phones for sale and you don't want to pay the ridiculous prices to buy it brand new. Well here are some tips that will help you make sure that you don't get ripped off and get the best value for your money. These tips will help whether you're buying an apple iphone, a pocket pc, or what ever cell phone you decide to get, you won't regret it at the end of the day.
- Before you plunk down cash for a used phone, remove the battery cover and look for a red dot. If you don't see a red dot look for a white dot. If you don't see the white dot ask what happened to the white dot. That white circular dot about the size of a hole punch on a piece of paper lets you know if the phone has been wet before or not. If you find a phone that works and the dot is red, it may not give you any problems but it will give you something to think about.
- Do not pay extra for a charger for a phone that costs you more than $30. Some cell phone dealers I know will try to rip their customers off and try to nickel and dime them to death by charging them extra for things that should be included. If your phone cost less than $30, then go ahead and pay for the charger. I charge $10 for after market chargers by the way so hopefully that is around what you will find or maybe cheaper.
- Always, always, always test the phone fully before you leave the store you are at. If the dealer will not let you test the cameras, and the ringtones, and do a test call and everything else, then leave the store. I will let a customer test a phone for 30 minutes if necessary and I encourage it.
- Make sure you check to see that the phone charges. Especially if you purchase some Sony Ericsson cell phones. They have the dumbest charging ports of all the brands and it is easy to tear up if you don't properly know how to insert and remove the charger.
- If you are buying a Sprint, Verizon, Alltel, Metro Pcs, US Cellular, Cricket, or any other CDMA carrier, dial 611 and try to change it over right there in the store. You are doing this to make sure that the dealer isn't selling you a phone with a bad ESN. I know Metro PCS ESN's stay bad for about 2 months then you can activate them, the rest especially Sprint, Verizon, and Alltel should be considered as paper weights unless you know someone that can do something naughty with the ESNs. T-Mobile, AT&T, and Nextel you should be good to go. Unless you want to add insurance then you could possibly run into a problem with the IMEI numbers.
- Speaking of insurance, don't insure a used phone! It is a waste of your time. And sometimes the carrier won't even do it anyway.
- Unlocked phones with the exception of the Apple Iphone and maybe a few others, will give you problems when it comes to using all of the features. You should expect some problems with getting on the internet or sending multi media messages sometimes on some unlocked phones. Each cell phone is different but just expect that.
Well that will do it for about now. I apologize for not finishing the 10 Hottest Cell Phones of All Time yet. When I complete it, I will just publish the rest of the whole list instead of stretching it out like I planned. So whether you're buying used Motorola cell phones, nokia cell phones, unlocked phones, or prepaid phones, keep these tips in mind and you can't go wrong.
